There can be a lot of discomfort during pregnancy, but essential oils can be a great resource to help with fertility and conception and all throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. In this episode we’ll talk with Stephanie McBride about her favorite essential oils that are safe to use in pregnancy and can help your physical and mental health for a more comfortable experience.  

Stephanie is a passionate advocate for the use of essential oils as a form of natural self-care and in clinical practice, from the moment of conception on. Her 25 years of botanical medicine study, coupled with practical experience in the area of maternity as a certified clinical herbalist, professional aromatherapist, and functional nutritionist, qualify her to provide the in-depth knowledge necessary to simplify an ancient health modality for others.

    • Bergamot has been found to help with morning sickness. Try applying topically or diffusing bergamot to also help with anxiety and cramps. Additionally, try adding bergamot to a stretch mark cream to help the skin. Note - bergamot is a photosensitizing oil so make sure to use caution and cover your skin when in the sun.  

    • Geranium is great for helping with low cortisol level and has a balance effect on breast milk to help with nursing. Try applying a drop of geranium essential oil to nursing cream.
