Helichrysum oil has long been revered for its beautiful golden-colored flower which seems to never whither. The plans is often referred to as “Imortelle,” and its many therapeutic uses makes it an essential for any wellness cabinet. Peppermint Black Bean Brownies

From: Ai Willis in Kobe Japan.

Ingredients:

  • 250g cooked black beans or 1 can of beans drained and rinsed well

  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup neutral tasting oil

  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  • 2 drops Peppermint Vitality essential oil

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Direction:

  • Preheat the oven to 340F/170C and line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Throw everything except the chocolate chips into a high powered blender or food processor, and blend until completely smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  • Pour the mixture into the baking pan, smooth out with a spatula, and bake in the oven for 15

  • 18 minutes. Let them cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before serving.
