304: True or False? NEVER Use Undiluted Essential Oils
I’m sure you’ve heard it before; I do all the time. “Oh my gosh! You’re not diluting that oil!?” Well… yes! Sometimes I do not dilute essential oils. But let’s find out where the idea that it’s unsafe comes from, and how based in truth it is. Safety is simple with oils if you just have a few basic facts. This week, and for the next three weeks, we’re diving into some common misconceptions about essential oils with director of education for the School for Aromatic Studies, Jade Shutes.
Jade is an aromatherapy practitioner, researcher, and educator for over two decades, Jade opened her first aromatherapy school, The Institute for Dynamic Aromatherapy (IDA), in New England in 1991. In 1997, Jade joined the education committee of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy Education committee and played a pivotal role in setting education standards for aromatherapy.
